End of the year!

We're nearly halfway trough October. The end of of 2012 is getting closer and closer. I can almost feel Christmas. Time to thinks about pressies, the winter and maybe even New Years Resolutions.

I've begun putting the heating on and I've already felt like I'd never be warm again. Cold and me don't go together very well. So that's what I definitely do not look forward to this coming winter.

About 2 weeks ago I made (another) little trip to London. I went there to finally see the amazing Sam Bradley live!!! Again it was also a great opportunity to meet up with my dear friends. Sam was AMAZING!!!! He's got such an amazing voice. And he's not bad to look at either ;-) I was soooooo nervous about meeting him. But he calmed within seconds. What a sweet guy, and soooo easy to talk to. I love him even more now.

This weekend has been one with nothing but rain. A great reason to stay indoors. Nice and cosy. My dear son had a friend over. They watched 2 films and enjoyed themselves very much. I've been spending time online. Chatting and organising some stuff. I've booked my flight to London for the premier of the last Twilight film! I'm soooo excited!!!!

It's a great opportunity to be with my dear friends. We'll have sooo much fun. All I have to do now is pray that the rain will stay away. I'll do everything I can to shield myself from the cold. But rain, that's a serious problem!
So far I've been quite lucky with the queuing. I've never had rain...yet.
With Water for Elephants we stayed in a wind tunnel. Which was soooooo cold. But we survived!

Last year November it was really do-able. We had a hotel nearby where we went to change and freshen up. The night before the premier I went to the hotel, got a shower and changed into some fresh clothes. I was back in my sleeping bag around 10.30pm. I went to sleep and slept for over 6 hours straight. Brilliant!!! My friend had to wake me up to clear our stuff away.

This year I'm hoping for the same kind of weather. I did buy a nice tent for us to sleep in. But I doubt we'll be allowed to use it.

Then in December I'll be going to the UK again. This time with my son. We'll be flying to a friend in Newcastle. We'll stay there for a night. And then drive to Wales to stay a few days with another friend! There'll be quite a few girls coming and I'm sooo looking forward to it! Then my son, myself and our Newcastle friend will drive back to Newcastle where we'll stay for another night before flying back home. My son and I are soooo excited!!!!!! My friend in Newcastle has 3 sons. Two of them are in the same age group as my son. So I hope they'll get along.

rollercoaster

Hiya all,

It's been almost 2 months since I last wrote. waaaay too long.

I never told you how Wales was. Well, there were loads of emotions in those 9 days. It was like a rollercoaster. From extreme highs to extreme lows. It was very surreal. I don't wanna go into it too much so let's just say I was glad I was with such an amazing friend those days. Could not have survived them had I been on my own.

Here are some pics of our good times:

                     Beautiful sights on our hike.

                                                                                                  Chester!!!

                                          Loved this sign!!!

                           Alton Towers!!!

                                       2 amazing friends!!

After returning from Wales it was back to work. And even more ups and downs.
At 32 my hormones are finally playing a part in my mood. And it's annoying as hell. Feeling down, depressed and lonely is a nightmare. Especially when you know there's no reason to feel this way.

I did go to London to see a film at an open air theatre with a dear friend. And that was amazing! My next trip is in 2 weeks time. Finally going to see Sam Bradley!!! I wanted to go and see him a few weeks ago but couldn't as the downside of being a single mum was needing a 'babysitter' and I didn't have one. But I'm going this time. it's all booked and sorted!!! Sooooo excited!!!
For those who don't know Sam..... He's an amazing singer/songwriter from the UK. I've been a fan for quite some time and now finally have the chance to see and meet him.

Here he is. Singing one of my fave songs.

Preparing for Wales

Almost all the pressies have been bought and packed. Please keep your fingers crossed that my last order will arrive here in time tomorrow. All the sweets have been bought and packed. Clothes are washed and packed or back in the closet.
All my lists have been checked, and checked again. As we don't have to leave tomorrow till in the afternoon I need to keep myself busy. So my list of things to do tomorrow is waiting for me.
Vacuming, mopping, doing my nails, things like that. I need to keep myself busy till 3pm when it's finally time to leave.

My son and I have been waiting for this trip for a very long time.
This is quite what we had planned in the first place. We were supposed to stay with 2 friends. But because one of them changed their mind, we're now only staying with one. This was especially sad for my son. As with the other friend he also had a friend to entertain himself with. Not with the friend we're staying with now. But we both know we'll still have an amazing time.

The first weekend there is gonna be quite an experience. Probably more so for my son then for myself. It's gonna be 5 grown women (including myself) chatting and watching the most amazing man on Earth (besides my son of course ;-) ). That same poor son has to survive between us. Good luck to him. Thank God he's gonna have Saturday night as a 'mans night'.

Neither me or my son have ever spent that long a time in Wales, so we're planning on making the most of it. Going on walks and enjoying the countryside. We're also planning to go and see 1 or 2 films. Being

We've even been preparing by watching 'Batman begins' and 'The dark knight' the other day. Both really good films.
And we both love the Ice Age films as we have them all on DVD.

I've been to Wales once. It was a weekend last October and besides the inside of a house, an ice skating ring and a shop, I didn't see much. Doesn't mean much as I still had one of the best weekends of my life. ;-)

But as we're going 9 days this time, we're bound to see more.
I've been doing some reading on the Mold, Flintshire area and it sounds really nice.

I have no doubt that my son and I will have an amazing time there.
I'll tell you all about it. Maybe not everything as I'm sure that not everything that happens there will be suitable to be blogged about ;-) but you know what I mean. And I promise that I'll also post some pics. But like with the stories, not all pics will be suitable for blogging.
But enough will be left to be shared.

Disneyland Paris

About 6 or 7 years ago I went to Disneyland Paris with work. Besides getting stuck in the Spacemountain ride, I don't remember anything from that trip.

After my son had spotted an ad about kids under 12 going to Disneyland for free and staying at the hotel for free, I was persuaded to book a 3 day trip for the two of us.
So last Monday we got on a 'kidsbus' at 6am. That was fun. It was a double-decker bus but the downstairs was reserved for the kids. So all the grownups could just relax upstairs and watch the 3 Disney films they showed.

We arrived at our Santa Fe hotel around 2pm. After queuing for ages to check-in, and having to go back because our key didn't work, we dumped our stuff in our room and set off to the Disney parks.
Our hotel was simple but good

We were allowed to go in both parks for 3 days.
We started out in de studios. It was amazing! So many amazing things to do. We had 2 fave rides.

Crush's Coaster

Based on the film 'Finding Nemo' this ride takes you 'into the water' and shows you all kinds of amazing stuff.

The other ride we loved was Tower of Terror

You basicly go into a lift and crush down. It's brilliantly scary.

The ride got both my son and myself scared (eventhough it was only in the first few seconds) was Rock n Rollercoaster. That's the only ride that I bought our photo from and this is why:

The Disneyland Park was so amazing! It's such a happy and cheerful place. I loved being there. It felt so good. We did loads of rides. I concurred my fears and joined my son on Spacemountain. Which wasn't so bad as I remembered. I managed to keep my eyes open the entire ride.

Here are some impressions of our trip:

And of course we met some stars!!
